Spring Reading Challenge

I am participating in the Spring Reading Thing hosted by Callapidder Days.  I am hoping to push myself to read a few more adult books in the process.  I read stacks of children's books every week but few books for adults.  I often pick up non-fiction books at the library and read a chapter or two but I do not finish the books.  This challenge will give me the opportunity to focus my reading and actually finish a few books.  The list includes this year's Newbery winner, two good works of fiction, two homeschooling books, one easy read (Prep) and one classic (Wildfell Hall).  All the books are sitting on my bookshelf.  Here is my very modest and not so challenging list of books that I plan to read before the beginning of Summer.  I would love to hear your opinion about any of the books on my list?

Higher Power of Lucky
Snow Flower and The Secret Fan
For the Children's Sake
Prep
Sharing Nature with Children
History of Love
The Tenant of Wildfell Hall

For the Children's Sake is on my list too. Let us know what you think. I was trying to hold off on any more personal reading until I finished David Copperfield but I have determined that, no matter how much I like it, I will NEVER finish David Copperfield.

I have not read any on your to read list. I have read 6 books this year so far but a few of them were children's classics that I was considering for Ami. I also started a couple of parenting/education books that I have not finished. It sounds like a neat idea.

I'm hoping to read the Higher Power of Lucky sometime in the next several months myself. I don't know anything about the others.

Haven't heard of any of your titles....looking forward to your reviews!

Thanks for joining the Spring Reading Thing! Looks like you've got some great variety on your list. Hope you enjoy them all!

Nice list. Thanks for stopping by my blog. Good luck in your reading!

Great list! I'm looking forward to your review on History Of Love Happy Reading! =)

Snow Flower is buried in Mt. TBR (To Be Read); I hope you'll post a review of it because I've only heard good things thus far and am itching to read it.

What a great list! Your little girl is adorable!! Happy reading.

Hi,
I just love your blog! A friend sent me the link and I really owe you a huge thanks for inspiring me to get back on track being the quality parent my children deserve and I want to be. We are now 10 days TV free!! Thank you for helping me reclaim my family!!

I have read "For the Childrens' Sake" and I rank it as one of most favorite books. I can't wait to hear what your thoughts are.
Thanks so much!
