Monthly To Do List
This year I've decided to abandon the traditional New Year's Resolution in favor of something more doable for me; a long monthly to do list. Each month I'm going to post a monthly to do list with a number of tasks that need to be accomplished. To be honest, if I accomplish the tasks on the list then I will have time to focus on my ultimate goal which is to be a more attentive mother. So here is my January list.

We loved John Adams. We watched it around the time Annabelle was due and they would have reruns in the middle of the night. I would sit up and watch it when I couldn't sleep.
Good luck on your to do list. I love the feeling of accomplishment that comes with checking things off.

I hope you get it all done.
I know what you mean about the books,
we will have fewer library books as the weather gets colder.;-)

I think I'm going to follow your lead with the Monthly Lists. I'm just too busy and wishy-washy to stick to a yearly goal this far out.
With the books- I hear ya. Sometimes I feel almost guilty for checking our soo many from the library when we have ton here in the house- like I'm depriving some poor kid somewhere.
Good luck to us both, on both fronts!

I like this idea. I envy you getting a piano. I want Rose to buy herself one this year, but she wants to buy a boat instead!
I remember the old "rotate and reduce toys" thing. It was always a major task. I wish I'd started from the very beginning with the idea of "one or two toys only and just use your imagination."

I love the idea of monthly to-do lists. The one that stuck out for me was "reading picture books we already own". I just cannot stop checking out new ones I either read about or see that look like good ones. I hope you can find a piano teacher- I've been thinking about trying an instrument with CJ sometime soon.
